About My Practice
I love helping people of all ages (even newborns!) to reverse a wide range of health issues. I am nationally known for helping chronic, severe health conditions that have not been helped elsewhere. I believe that education and working together as a team are vital for regaining and maintaining your health.
I often work with heavy metal toxicity and general toxicity issues, chronic lyme and coinfections, chemical injury, adrenal and thyroid issues, infertility and hormone imbalances, severe allergies and intolerances, neurological disorders, interstitial cystitis, intestinal dysbiosis (candida, etc.) and digestive issues, autoimmune disorders, autism spectrum disorders, autoimmune and “mystery illnesses.”
My formal education in biomedical engineering and Oriental Medicine allows me to blend beautifully the best of what natural medicine can offer. My approach is truly a balanced left-brain, right-brain style. I use traditional acupuncture approaches, modern allergy elimination treatments that utilize acupuncture, as well as nutritional medicine, environmental medicine and functional medicine techniques. I offer the latest in the fields of environmental and functional medicine as well as the best ways to implement detoxification protocols into healing.
The practice of Oriental Medicine includes many types of treatments and allows me to help you heal using many techniques and types of healing. In my practice, I utilize acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, electrical stimulation, herbal medicine, nutritional counseling, tui na (chinese bodywork), muscle testing for energetic allergies and imbalances, tuning forks, the prescription of dietary supplements, and healthy lifestyle counseling including environmental/green living and advice on chemical sensitivities/chemical injury.
I have spent years making natural health my highest priority. Sometimes there are so many supplements and types of treatments, it can get very overwhelming for a patient. That is the last thing that you need when you are trying to feel better. As my patient, I help guide you through the various types of treatments and will refer you to an M.D. or chiropractor or other health care practitioner if that is what I feel you need most at the time. I am interested in helping you heal as effectively as possible with a minimum of discomfort and cost..
There are many natural health products out there that rely on marketing alone and do not have your health in mind. I have spent years trying various brands and always keep an eye open for something even better. The supplements and herbs that I currently use and prescribe are ones I truly believe in. They are of the highest quality and are cost effective.
My “eco” clinic is safe for those who are chemically injured and my vitamins, supplements and herbs are of the highest quality. Acupuncture is an art form and as such can vary between acupuncturists. I tend to have a gentle touch and focus on listening to you on many levels. Intuition is a key that I use along with my educational knowledge in helping me see what factors are playing a role in your illness and discomfort. I also help you to see that your intuition and body’s innate wisdom to heal are key components in your healing journey.
